I’m reminded of dreams I had as a kid, first it was Babe Ruth, then Space Jam came out, so basketball was all I did. Baseball ended with a shoulder going out before high school. Basketball sort of ended when the military became the priority at 15. Sure I could have played ball still, but as I got older, college seemed like a place that I would have gone for my dreams to die. So I thought the Marine Corps was all unicorns and fairy dust, that is where I ended up. Military was hard to get away from, the financial security, travel, and would be something for me to learn new things for the next 20 years or so. Problem was I was always being told what to do, where to go, and shaving everyday was just nonsense to me. I had other dreams, and passions, I just didn’t know where to focus them at the time. When I think of all the sports, jobs and dreams that were in motion, I realize the follow through was what always was short. So knowing that I knew I never wanted to really do them. For as many twists and turns life will give you as you age, it has brought me to a point where I am now, and I continually question decisions made in the past. Of course reflection is not a bad thing, but always remember to not dwell. Look forward and make the decision to forget what could have been and focus on where you want to end up. Life could be perfect before you are 25. Billionaire, wife, kids, cars and a house. Remember the life you live continues through what passion drives you. Life can go bad at any time, so having a pursuit is always what will keep your head on straight. Don’t lose yourself in thinking that you’re finished, you’ve completed all you needed to. Many things to come are going to help you in living a full life, and a happy one. Bangov Actual, out.
