Participate In Your Life

To participate is something we have all been told to do since we were in kindergarten. Everything from painting a bunny, gluing macaroni to paper plates, and even duck duck goose. Now that we are older, we are taking part in what society has deemed necessary for success. In college you’re told to participate in electives you may not even care for, and are told this is how you get to where you want to be. College, then find a relationship, then marriage, kids, 50% will have a couple kids then be divorced, and then be trying to do that again, and then again not knowing statistically it just gets worse from the first time you tried it. So what does it really mean to “participate” in life when everything has been planned for you. You choose what you like to be apart of, then you go by their way of standards and means of completing a task. Participate is defined as: take part in an action or endeavor. Pretty simple to me, but what does it mean to not go by someone else’s design that has been laid out for you. To create your own step by step process. A road map completely your own, free from rules, or free from underlying pressures made for you to forget your dreams and what from a young age most people forget how to do, which is continue to see the world as where 90% of people are doing things according to plan, and only 10% do whatever the fuck they want to do. To participate in your own life is to take control of the actions that may not be the popular choice. Don’t think to yourself how, but what is it am I afraid of? School, work, kids. Problem is when people get to the kids’ part they no longer tend to do anything for themselves. You may be thinking this is all for the child, but then as the child becomes an adult, they are stuck in the same cycle and never end up doing something for themselves. Break cycles of inevitable disappointment. People have always believed, “life is too short.” Well not when you’re miserable. Time slows down, and suffering even for a day feels like an eternity. Try breaking away from someone else’s rules for a while. Participate in your own life for a day and learn how to want for yourself again. Don’t make any sacrifices for others and who knows. Maybe, just maybe you will make decisions tomorrow for your own life, and not just what someone told you to be. Bangov Actual, out.

Clues On The Wall

How do we push through the effects of negative people? Distance is a big one. Can’t be negative if they aren’t around you. Then again some of you can’t pick your parents, or brothers or sisters. Also maybe you’re under the impression you have to have money in the bank and make 100k before you can go live on your own. Making necessary sacrifices in order to get away from those that may be holding you back is a dangerous way to live. Letting someone impede on your life is just letting them control you. It is hard for you to not be controlled by your emotions when you’ve never really had time to gather them for yourself. Just think of why teenagers are in their rooms for long periods of time. They give themselves time to think about what they want to do aside from being under their parents house. It’s a time for establishing their own personality, it’s literally all over the walls what they into, anything from the Jonas Brothers, to sports cars and supermodels. Clues are around you when it comes to finding those you wish to associate yourself with. Monkey see, monkey do is probably a new system of schooling we should implement. Nothing for what I have seen is faster, and a more reliable means of communication. What’s even more interesting, you don’t really need a lot of words. Mountains of textbooks saved from inevitably will be the trash, or just recycled back for another person to forget a word of what was said. If you think I’m wrong, I wonder how many people would be able to tell me a few things they remembered out of a textbook they read. Not saying nobody would. A large majority of people would not be able to give me a single sentence out of a textbook. If I showed someone how to replace a tire on a car, I bet you they would remember for the rest of their days until they hit alzhemers. Which again if we go full circle, and we are to go back to the root of the question. HOW DO WE PUSH THROUGH THE EFFECTS OF NEGATIVE PEOPLE???.. My advice is to learn from them. Stare at them right in the face and realize the pain they are in due to lack of self worth. They are stuck just like you, but not like you, they are panicking. They are in a world of anxiety where they have to shout out to others in the hope that they won’t feel as lonely if they have someone down in the hole with them. Remember you can learn from even those you despise. Just rise above their pain, and create some distance. As well the moment of clarity is not instantaneous, may take a few minutes, may take a few days. Just don’t let it become a part of how you react to life’s difficulties. Letting someone else control you like that, you’re not an individual anymore, you’re a slave. Bangov Actual, out.

The Long Game

Nothing being what it seems nowadays, I tell myself that everything is what someone else seems. What you hear, what you see, touch, taste is someone else’s perspective on what that something should be. We are very trusting in nature to leave our experiences  up to others. So why don’t we trust others day to day? Only when we are looking, or purposely in search of an experience. We don’t go through an alleyway at night BUT, we strap ourselves to an amusement park ride with absolutely NO evidence whatsoever that the thing is built to code, by engineers or is even within 10 years old. We just tell ourselves that we paid a lot of money to be here so if death is on the other side then so be it. They said they WOULD NOT refund my gift certificate so I’m going to get on this thing and hopefully everything works out. Why is it unless I tell you at the gate, “if you get on this ride you will die,” do people just let themselves get put in to situations that may not be beneficial to their health? Almost as if we all have no internal danger sensors for the things that go on around us. I’ve seen people completely oblivious to threats around them. Not saying they are imminent, but they are still what people view as a daily occurrence so they deny the ability to act and interfere with the reality going on around them. To me I can only see this as a lack of fortitude in order to change the world around them. Fortitiude is defined as: courage in pain or adversity, to further clarify, adversity is defined as: difficulties or misfortune. They have no idea what they can do to change the daily struggles they may face. They just have to make a move in the direction of what they fear and even if they see the slightest movement of retreat, I bet they would attack. They would rid themselves of what fear may be holding them back. A lack of long game if I may. The refusal to commit to something for a long time. People are afraid of failing at year 1 or 2, so they never even reach the possibilities at year 10 or 20. Life is a long game, there are no shortcuts, even with the internet, time is still the same, coming and going. Work still has to get done and moves have to be made. If I was to put in 20 years of work on something, maybe, just maybe I will have my own dose of nothing is what it seems. Bangov Actual, out.

System Of Reliance

While you’re at your 9-5 just take a moment to think of the system that you are taking part in. I’m not demonizing 9-5 work, I am just simply expressing that those who are reliant on a 9-5 fall into the system of needing to build their 401k, retirement plan, social security, if it will even be a thing by the time my age bracket needs it. So when you look at your way of life, and look at how your parents might have had to survive based on that same system. Are you thinking to yourself, “this will not be me?” Or, “that will not be my life.” Many people have told me that they see a life far greater than what their parents had provided. Whether or not they will ever surpass their parents ambitions, who the hell knows until those days come. Simple choices create a system of reliance all its own. Multiple avenues of income, this to others seems like a lot of work, and people apparently don’t like working in this day and age, they don’t know how to find the joy in misery. I’m not saying be fake, I’m saying that even in miserable circumstances you develop a sort of mental toughness that makes you cling to the hard work that you know will pay off, but most just have a hard time getting into. Real estate, flipping cars, car washes, handyman,photographer, web designer, whatever tickles your pickle. These things create multiple streams of income. For those of you who bitch about working on the weekends, well if that is how you feel then maybe have longer Monday-Friday days. Or if you work from home then maybe a project that can be worked on in-between your job. Fit your dreams wherever you can. Break away from the system of reliance and realize these false senses of security are just a mirror staring right back at you. You must rely on yourself and your own ability to break free from crutches in life. You’re not broken, you’re just unaware of the possibilities that may be more simple than the job you’ve been hired to do. Create your own system and break free. Bangov Actual, out.

Simple Steps, Giant Leaps

There will always be moments thinking that you’re not cut out for the profession you’re in. Don’t listen to the naysayers in your mind. Pursue a clear mind and you will come out on the other side thinking that you’re more capable than once believed. It is hard, I understand that each level of pursuit you try and achieve comes with a complication, or set of its own barriers that we as individuals must burst through. A phase of doubt will cloud your mind, a reminder of limitation will keep you from that which has kept you in your corner so that you won’t see what has been with you since birth. A great positive to when you have consistent actions, could be a workout regimen, or not eating junk food, is when you fall off the wagon again you realize how fucked up you once were and how far you have come from being who you were to who you want to become. Simple steps, of course every day is hard when you’re not used to doing something, but when everyday becomes the norm then it is hard to see yourself not doing a workout, or writing blogs, or even getting up at a certain time. I’ve regularly thought about 4:30 am wake ups, but I just haven’t made the decision yet that I wanted to do that. A few extra hours in the morning though does sound awesome for getting things done. All that time to myself to gather thoughts, make a list for myself to create new possibilities. New expectations for myself. Also remember that day 1 will never feel like it is worth it. You don’t know when it will be worth till it is. Sacrifices you make for yourself always are in your best interest to make when it comes to making your life more productive. If you ever do something on a consistent basis that is in turn bad for your health then STOP FUCKING DOING IT. I will say that might be my one limit to consistency, and why I don’t do drugs. Weed sounds fun, but it’s just not a sustainable thing for me to do everyday. So choose your consistency especially based on your way of life, throw some productive ones in there and when you maybe have a hangover, or 10- 20 passed out drunk people on your floor, just tell yourself you had a good night and get back on track. Don’t beat yourself up too much and just get on with your day as you’re trying to still get things done. Work will always be there tomorrow. Bangov Actual, out.

Infinite Solutions

Stressful is what you do not grow up with or do not know. To think of something as stressful is just a matter of perspective in what you are good at, or what you have passion for. Have talked to many people who are proficient in many things and the wealth of knowledge they have has always astounded me about how much they care about a particular subject. Or so I thought that they cared. I believe that all people who search hard enough, are born, or just come across something that they are not only good at but great at. When it gets interesting is when they find it and it consumes their everyday life. That to me is when a person is truly at peace with what they were meant to do. A certain calm comes over them and they are no longer distracted by what used to distract them, they begin to identify their surrounding friends by what takes them away from those people. No more late night partying, no more wasting time, or at least what they thought was fun they begin to see as a waste of time if they are not becoming more proficient in what they have built an addiction for.

To step back, stress is defined as: a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances. The difference of “stress” being caused by your day to day 9-5 job is that you are doing it out of a necessity of not wanting to be a bum on the street, gas money, sex, or the million of other reasons that keep people in this vicious cycle of not doing something genuinely because they feel it is what they were meant to do. When you manipulate your own emotions to think that a regular 9-5 is just a place holder and that what you are good at is what you should be doing. Your 9-5, although may have a job that a fucking monkey could do, no offense to monkey’s, we do send them to space. Even if it may be for a cruel reason, not saying I know that reason, but why the hell else would you send a monkey into space other than to save humans from blowing up when you haven’t fixed all the bugs in the system. I mean we use animals for a lot of trials. I’m getting off topic, but when you think to yourself that your job is stressful, you only do it because you know it is where you are stuck. You haven’t found your pursuit yet, but I need you to dig down deep and really take into consideration that life is not forever. Day after day, year after year. Not saying you have to figure everything out in one night. No way in hell did I do that.

Everyday is a new perspective or a new idea that brings you closer to whatever vision you have in your head and whatever keeps you up at night because you know you are not living up to your full potential. Potential is defined as: having or showing the capacity to become or develop into something in the future. Which is cute, I guess if you like to read those self help books that make me want to suck start a shotgun. Let me introduce you to the word Prospective. Prospective is defined as: expected or expecting to be something particular in the future. You have this monster brewing inside of you. What Disney movies have taught us is that monsters can be either good or bad. They can lead us to the left or right of our intentions. No matter how good your intentions are, just remember to look for the contradictions and tell yourself no matter what I have to become, and no matter the cost, in the end I will be known by many as a good person or it will all be for nothing. Don’t let your demons consume you because you want something so bad, because there’s always another way. Bangov is ever evolving, and is about not only one but infinite solutions. Ganja

Today, 4-20-2022 is the official renewal date for Bangov. Which their is something poetic about that. When we think of 4/20 we thing of our great mother of ganja. Pot Grass, Dope, Reefer, Hash, Herb, Chronic. Weed the miracle drug that has brought drug companies to their knees. In realizing what this miracle plant has done for anyone from panic, anxiety, to muscle spasms, and multiple sclerosis. For all the good that has come from this miracle plant, still people will judge its effects as a reason for people to not indulge. To me it is interesting that we never stop as a society to think of what we regularly put in our bodies as a means of coping with day to day. Cigarettes for one, not that I am you shouldn’t smoke, do what you will with your bodies. I won’t lose a moment of sleep for what people choose to do with their bodies. cancer, heart disease, stroke, lung diseases, diabetes, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which includes emphysema and chronic bronchitis. These all come from cigarettes alone. I have occasionally enjoyed the effects of nicotine as a way of smoking cigarettes, vape, or even the occasional cigar after a week of Elk hunting. I’m no stranger to it, and I won’t lie in order to demonize something that is a choice to me and others. To look at the effects of things that we put in your bodies is only as important as what we choose. You can have all the knowledge in the world of what to put, and what not to put in your body. It all comes down to what you choose and why you want something. I’m a huge fan of chips, maybe not the healthiest thing on the planet, but with a sandwich, damn it I want my sea salt and vinegar chips. WATER, we are all told to drink more and more water. Then again how much is too much water. Whenever you hear ANYONE say anything about health, understand they have a perception of what health is. You choose yours based on what health goals you have. Pick anyone on YouTube, there are only about a billion(exaggeration) influences that pride themselves on knowing how to eat, sleep and workout for you to be the best version of yourself. Of course they only have one perspective on what it means to be healthy. So have fun in deciding on who you wish to follow to help you. Maybe you want a buff guy/girl to follow. Maybe you want a skinny guy/girl, or maybe a chiseled sexy VEGAN. Whatever the case everything in moderation because even water has the capacity to make you I’ll. Effects of too much water are as follows: Confusion, nausea, and vomiting are symptoms. Severe cases can cause seizures, coma, and death. So why not just stick to everything being in moderation. We’re all going to die, hate to burst your bubbles about living forever, but maybe reminding you of death will keep you on the treadmill for a couple more minutes, or maybe you won’t have that other piece of chocolate cake. These are things I yell at myself in order to keep my fat ass in check because man do I love sweets. Bangov Actual, out.
